My passion is soccer.
I am a very athletic student. Growing up, I've always loved football, swimming, volleyball, basketball, and baseball. It wasn't until my sophomore year of high school, where I discovered my love for the sport of soccer. I decided to join the school soccer team. Since then, I've played soccer with incredible pride and passion. I would do anything it takes to take my soccer skills to the next level.
I have never had a mentor; I practiced by myself, watched videos, worked out, watched some of the greats to just try to get a small piece of that skill. I believe with the help of the US Sports Nike Soccer Camp, it will not only help me improve my skill but also give me an even stronger passion for the sport. I don't just want to be good, I want to be the best. This is something I cannot pass on. I need this camp to improve on my flaws and give my drive more meaning.
Jontae is the type of athlete you want on your team. He not only possesses a great amount of natural athletic ability, but he is also one of the hardest workers I have seen. When Jontae commits to something, he is truly committed. He will do anything in his power to better himself on the field as well as in the classroom. Jontae is adored by many of his coaches, past and present. Unfortunately Jontae has not had a personal mentor to help him develop his skills as an athlete. When school gets out in the summer, Jontae loses his coaches for several months and is left to his own devices to practice and train. Based on Jontae's level of commitment to his sport, I believe that he would make an excellent candidate for the US Sports Nike Soccer Camp.
