My passion is crime scene investigation.
This became my passion because I'm excited by the idea of being on a crime scene and investigating what happened in a forensic science laboratory using a DNA sample. I want to be able to use the skills I've seen on television shows to prove to the jury that a suspect committed a crime. I love the adrenaline rush that's associated with this profession.
Attending Summer at Brown will develop my passion by helping me get first hand knowledge about forensic science and law by visiting a laboratory and a courthouse. This would give me a sneak peek into what I want to do in my life. This program is a great opportunity to explore two different career paths.
"Henry is a good candidate for Summer at Brown because he is indeed a dreamer. As an aspiring Crime Scene Investigator, Henry is seeking to make his mark on the world by entering this field of work. Attending this program will be the first stepping stone towards Henry's goals and aspirations. Accepting him into this community would open doors for Henry to expand both his knowledge and community of peers as he works towards a bright and positive future."
The time I had at Brown was amazing, from meeting new friends to working late nights to finish class presentation. I was really nervous starting off at Brown not knowing anyone and worrying about how hard my class would be. The first day there, I was given my Brown ID card and my key to my dorm. When I got in my room, my parents helped me unpack my clothes and set up my fan in my new dorm, which so fun! I remember the time my roommate entered and introduced himself and we clicked right away. I then went to the student orientation and met all my roommates on my floor, and we all had dinner together. Words can’t really describe the fun I had at Brown and the new experience I had there, it was really something I loved and something I would do again in a heartbeat. I met people from Germany, Turkey, Greece, and London; these were all people who lived in my dorm or were in my Economics class. Through the course of my stay, I learned the basics of economics and the studies they use to research their questions. After we worked on our paper and presentation, everyone would go to the main quad for a game of ultimate Frisbee to playing my first game of Quidditch with students I never met before. At my time at Brown I was always outside doing something after class and enjoying the beautiful area of Brown Campus. At Brown, everyone was so welcoming and it was easy to be able to connect with one another. Summer at Brown was a glimpse of what my college life could be like and the many people I will meet in college. The class I took was something I would like to pursue in my life and helped me get a better idea of what major I want to have. Once again, thank you for the opportunity to be able to spend time at Brown.
I am very nervous to attend Brown and be on my own for a week. I don’t really know what to expect since this will be my first time on a college campus taking a college class. I’m just very nervous and excited at the same time, but this will soon benefit me in the future which is the best part. The main reason I chose this program is to study business and become a Marketing Manager or an entrepreneur, but also to learn and get a deeper meaning about the study of Economics. This class will help me understand what Economics is so I can learn the foundation to other things. I’m really looking forward to meeting a whole lot of new students due to Brown's high diversity rate and to prepare for what I will be doing in two years. I would just like to thank all the donors and everyone who helped me get to where I am now -- I just can’t wait to go to Brown!
Keep it up, Henry!
Crime scene investigator sounds like a fascinating career! Good luck!!
I'm so proud of you. Keep up the good work.
