A Note from Ms. Sibley, Angelena's Teacher

Angelena is taken upon herself to take a college sociology course at Gateway Community College because she knows that this topic will be something that she will have to build her skills on if she wants to become either a nurse or a sociologist. This is something that students her age generally have difficulty even considering. Angelena is a very determined student and despite the fact that she lives two towns away, she manages her time well enough so that it doesn't affect either her attendance at school or at Gateway.

Angelena will greatly benefit from attending Centenary Summer Scholars to further her academic experience in a college setting. This opportunity will also allow her to push her critical thinking skills to a college level.
