Joalex's Story

My passion is engineering.

I developed my passion after I became obsessed with the science channel. I would spend most of my time learning about how things work, and how robotics are slowly moving in to different fields of work. The skills necessary to create these robots are beyond what I know right now, but I think I could become the next robotic engineer and help as robots continue to benefit humanity.

The Envision NYLF Engineering Program will help me learn more about robotics, as well as careers in the engineering field. I will leave this program with a stronger foundation, and more rounded information about engineering. I know this will help me make future decisions about what I want to do for a living, and it will give me a chance to meet people who have a similar interest as I do.

A Note from Mr. Seuch, Joalex's Teacher

Joalex is a very hard worker in and out of the classroom. When in a laboratory setting, I can always count on Joalex to take a leadership roll in the lab group and keep the focus on the task at hand. He has the mindset of a programmer. in other words, he is able to identify a problem, dissect it to its components and in a very orderly manner solve the problem. He will strengthen these skills as part of this program.
