My passion is medicine.
I discovered my passion when one day I had the flu and my aunt, who was studying in Mexico to be a doctor, took care of me. My aunt was there for me as I was stuck stuck in bed the whole day. She would take my temperature every hour, give me my medicine, make me soup, tea, and talk about all the new things she had studied in Mexico. She had also talked about her first experience in the hospital, for the first time as an intern, and her first interaction with a patient of her own. Her experience inspired me a lot to think about what I wanted to be. This led to the discovery of my passion of medicine.
I believe that Centenary Summer Scholars will help me pursue my passion for medicine. This program will help me get a taste of what I will do in medical school and learn more about what its like to be in a hospital. I believe that this program will help me pursue my passion for medicine because it will impact my point of view. My experience there will be different than what I have ever heard about careers that involve medicine. Centenary Summer Scholars will boost my way into my career.
Antonio has a passion for helping others, young and old, friends, neighbors, strangers, and even animals in need. He has collected money for earthquake and hurricane victims, and helps take care of little children at his church youth group. Antonio shows concern for other people in general and is always eager to lend a helping hand.
Antonio is a good candidate for Centenary Summer Scholars because he is a responsible and caring young man. Antonio would like to pursue a career in the medical field and participating in Centenary Summer Scholars will expose him to different career paths available to him. This experience will be invaluable to Antonio's education and his future in the medical field.
It was honestly really fun, I made plenty of friends, I learned many things that will help me towards my future and I’ve officially decided what I am gonna major in when I go to university.
