My passion is basketball.
My dream has always been playing basketball. After I graduate high school, my dream is to attend college and try out for their basketball team. I will help develop my passion by attending Nike Basketball Camp. I will learn skills and techniques that I can bring back with me in order to help other students improve their game. Joining this program will help me become a better person, have better relationships with the people around me, and learn how to better communicate with my peers.
One obstacle I've overcome is growing up in a single parent family. My mom raised me and my brothers and sisters on her own; she didn't want any type of help from others. Despite raising a family, she stayed in school and took us every month to donate clothes and food to the poor. This made me realize that, even though you struggle in life, it's important to help others.
Jenniema has been a student in my physical education for the last year and a half. My physical education class can be extremely difficult at times. Jenniema is always giving nothing less than 110%! There has never been a time when she gave up on herself.
Jenniema constantly follows the discipline system implemented at UCHS. She is also very outspoken when other students aren't contributing in a positive manner.
Please know that people believe in you - God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Believe in YOU! Don't focus on what you don't have but believe in God for what He will do! And when you get in the position to do so, reach back & help someone else. Love you sis
