Natalie's Story

I am very interested in Marine Biology because ever since I was a little girl my dad would take me to the aquarium. I asked a bunch of questions to the staff. I was so interested in the lives of the creatures under water, and I was always the brave one who touched the sting rays whenever it was possible.

Ready for my experience at my summer program

What I am most excited about is learning all types of stuff. For example, I can learn about new creatures I've never even heard of. 2 goals I will set are to be very open minded and learn new things everyday. What I am most nervous about is leaving my home for 5 days because Monterey is pretty far from Hayward. Some challenges I will face are probably being comfortable touching all the stuff because I know it is very hands on. I will overcome it by just going with the flow and not letting my mind stop me from being open minded.

Thank you very much! I appreciate so much your kindness. It means the world to me because if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be going to this summer program and expanding my learning outside of school. I love marine biology and now one of my dreams is coming to real life. Thank you so much!
