My passion is medicine, which I discovered last year when I interned at Highland Hospital. I visited different departments in the hospital and helped the staff there with any problems I could. I saw surgeries, x-rays, and many wounds. I was inspired by the doctors and the faculty there and how they help the community. After seeing it and experiencing it, I want to help people get better and serve my community.
NSLC Medicine and Healthcare can really help me because I can get more hands on experience, which is very valuable to me. This experience can help me get farther in the medical field and further my understanding and knowledge in this field. NSLC Medicine and Healthcare will give me experience and more knowledge in the medical field.
Stanley is an excellent candidate for NSLC Medicine and Healthcare for many reasons. First and foremost he is a passionate and driven student who finds ways to learn and grow in and out of structured learning environments. Stanley takes part in his own education, and holds himself to high standards. He does not expect his teachers, or anyone else to provide him with the knowledge he will need to find the success that he wants in life; rather he is active and inquisitive and seeks out the learning that he needs. A second reason why Stanley will succeed at NSLC Medicine and Healthcare is that he has an excellent work ethic and impressive follow-through for a student as young as he is. The work that he does and the effort with which he does it is inspiring to others. Congratulating his hard work and follow-through with the reward of taking part in NSLC Medicine and Healthcare will speak volumes to the value of hard work, commitment, and integrity.
The 9 day medical program was very busy and filled with alot of hands on experiences. I practiced a lot of stitching, cpr, bandaging, and i even mad a cast. I went to places like hospital sf general hospital or research institutes like gladstone institue and Berkeley school of optometry. There also guest speakers and leadership speakers.
I am just finishing up my freshman year with a 4.0, and I am really looking forward to having a good summer. This will be a great program and also a great summer. I am excited about going to NSLC and learning a lot from this experience. Thank you for all the support.
