Attending NYIT's program this summer was an amazing and interesting experience. In the program, we did a series of hands-on experiments which included the 4 fields which are robotics , game development , hacking and electronic music. My favorite one of all was the robotics because it was more hands on then the rest and I liked the concept of putting in my own creativity into the robot we were building. I will be attending NYIT Career Discovery in Technology & Engineering this summer. First off, I would like to start off by thanking you for helping me on getting the opportunity to attend this program. My freshmen year in high school has been hectic and confusing. As I got to know my teachers better and interacted with everyone more, I got a better feel of the environment around me and my grades increased.

Coming to the program this summer will help me with my social skills the most. I lack the proper techniques needed to get myself out there in the public world. However, my goal this summer is to open up all possible opportunities that could help me grow as a person. In this program, we will be doing a variety of hands-on experiments in the technology and engineering field area. I chose this program because I've always had an interest in technology and engineering. It's also a way to see if I should keep taking these kind of courses outside this program and maybe even take it as a major in college. It's never too early to start preparing yourself for college, and my journey towards that begins this summer at NYIT Career Discovery in Technology & Engineering.
