Jared's Story

My passion is robotics. Growing up, I've always loved taking robots apart and building toy kits. I discovered my passion for robotics in the seventh grade. My aeronautics and engineering class was tasked with building a robotic car that would travel down a ninety foot hallway. I loved coding the robot to start and when to stop, the building process was a lot of fun and made me fall in love with robotics.

Attending Appel Farm Arts Camp will help me pursue my passion by helping me learn more about robotics and how to make them. It gives me an opportunity to expand my knowledge on different types of robotics and gives me an hand on experience. It will help me in the future when I think about college and a career path.

A Note from Ms. Bellinger, Jared's Teacher

Jared is a well mannered and polite individual who is always looking to help another student. His quiet demeanor is a surprise once he contributes his ideas to solving the problems at hand. He is thoughtful and inquisitive. Jared is a student who loves science and engineering. He is quite inquisitive and looks to understand how things work. He has expressed an interest in robotics but he is unable to take the advanced courses in this area as a freshman. He is ready for this type of rigor and creative problem solving, and would greatly benefit from attending Appel Farm Arts Camp.
