My passion is cooking. Ever since I was little, I did everything I could in the kitchen. From helping with washing the dishes, peeling potatoes, or stirring the cake mix, I tried my hardest to be in the kitchen as often as possible. Now that I am older, I've realized that I would rather cook or bake than do anything else. I love making cakes for my friends' birthdays, baking for school events and making dinner for my family.
Attending Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program would open so many doors for me in learning my way around the kitchen, building skills, and getting ready for college. Whether it's cooking or baking, I would be able to up my abilities all around.
Emma's dream is to become a pastry chef. Attending Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program will give her the exposure she needs to validate her life plan and give her the skills needed in her chosen career that our High School has been unable to.
Emma has a strong passion for the culinary arts. She never misses an opportunity to test her skills. Over the past three years that I have known Emma I have watched her dive headfirst into every challenge that has come her way with a smile on her face. She has tried to pursue her culinary passion here at school but the classes fill up quickly. She is planning on culinary school after High School to pursue her dream of becoming a pastry chef.
