My passion is Basketball.
I discovered this passion after my cousin took me out to the basketball court when I was 5 years old. At the time, I liked playing football more than basketball. When I turned 8 years old, my family played a family basketball game. This is when I truly took a liking to basketball. For Christmas that year, I got my first basketball. My parents started to let me go outside more by myself so I could play basketball. My cousin taught me how make my shooting better, and since then my shot has gotten better. I know I really need to work on my layups, and I hope that this program can help me with this goal.
Attending Nike Basketball Camp will help me to explore my passion by helping get better at a sport that I love. Basketball is one I my life passions, and I wish that I can proceed in my dreams of going to college and one day playing in the National Basketball Association or National Football League. I think that this camp will also help become better with more of my shots and layups.
At our school, we do not have many sports available to our students. Loyed is very passionate about sports and actively pursues them outside of school because of his love for sports. Loyed is always looking for a way to be involved with sports even if they are not easily accessible to him. He is always talking about his passion for football and basketball and how at any chance he gets to play either, he jumps at the opportunity. He can benefit from participating in this basketball camp to build on his leadership skills as well as become a better basketball player. Attending this basketball camp will help him improve his skills and help him build confidence in his game. It will also help him see and live basketball at another level that he has not experienced before.
