Guadalupe's Story

My passion is Art.

When I was six years old, and in the first grade, I asked my father to draw a cartoon character on the surface of a valuable item of mine. He took out a pen, a piece of paper, a notebook, and commenced the drawing. He worked quickly, his pen flying like a freed bird, the lines that he made precise and neat. It took him less than eight minutes to finish. Eight minutes! He set down the pen next to him. Noticing that my sister may come at any minute, I greedily took the drawing and examined it. I was stunned. My father had brought out the beauty of the character. That was when I decided to start drawing.

This program's purpose is to give students an "in-depth look at the industry", which would allow me to see if pursuing a career that involves art would be the optimal thing for me to do. They teach many things about art, which would help me expand my knowledge. I also want to do something creative, because you need to be creative in art to succeed. This program would help me with that, because it would challenge me to create projects. I want to be like my father, so this program would truly help me with that.
