I've loved doing outdoor activities ever since I was young. I loved to travel around the country and seeing how beautiful the landscapes and biodiversity of the world was. As I got older, I started to realize how the environment can variate according to human activities.
Attending Frost Valley YMCA Service Trips will make me definitely a better person mentally, and spiritually. This could make me see why it is worth it knowing and saving the earth. For me, knowing new places and people is a wonderful way to inspire me to do the best I can. I think humans are born with great purposes, and the mine goes beyond staying in one place, just working all my life and only paying bills. I want to know more about the nature and the world, and make this planet a better place to live on, and I hope to work hard to achieve what I've always wished. Attending Frost Valley YMCA Service Trips can help me to become someone most cultured, who sees the world in different ways and thinks most openly.
Karen works well independently, but is also someone everyone wants to collaborate with. She is able to keep projects on track while making sure everyone in her group is valued and included. She is able to keep projects on track while making sure everyone in her group is valued and included.
Karen is committed to her music and education even though she came from Venezuela and English is her second language. Karen has worked hard to excel in all her classes. Karen has been successful in her two years at Maloney High School. I know she will continue to prove successful in future academic pursuits.
This summer has been amazing. I worked really hard with my group in Acadia National Park, in Maine. Besides the hard work, we had a lot of fun. I'm glad that I contributed for this park doing my best. It has such beautiful landscapes. I gained so much from this trip and the group of people that were with me those two weeks. Unforgettable memories camping in the nature, like looking at the Acadia's night sky full of stars, the rocky cliffs by the ocean in the night, the pine trees around the crystalline waters of the lakes, and all of this next to great friends. I feel like I gained valuable leadership and outdoor skills. I'm, really thankful for everything.
As I prepare for my summer at Frost Valley YMCA, I can’t help but to feel both nervous and excited about this experience. I am excited to step outside of my comfort zone and to try something new. I can’t wait to have a beautiful time there, and I will be sure to enjoy every moment I spend at Frost Valley YMCA. Thank you so much for making this possible!
