My passion is animation. Ever since I was little, the only thing that can keep me happy when I'm in a bad mood is drawing. I feel like I can express myself when I'm drawing and it is a way to show others what I can do and am capable of doing. My imagination is wild. I have many visuals in my head that can make a whole story. I always want my stories to come alive and show people the meaning of the story. I want to make my stories as real as possible and make people feel happy when they see it.
Attending iD Tech Camp New York will allow me to learn the technology side of animation. Technology is what makes animation happen. I know there are lots of different kinds of animation, including stop-motion, 2D and 3D, motion graphics and traditional animation, and this program will offer me a window into the world of animation through technology.
Michelle has taken advantage of all the technology classes our school has to offer. However, our school does not have an art program, making it impossible to connect her two areas of interest. Still, Michelle has been consistent with both her love of technology and her drive to express herself through art. Her experience with iD Tech Camps New York this summer will be the first and maybe only opportunity until college for her to see if she is able to combine these two fields in a way that ignites her imagination.
