I have just returned from my week at my US Performing Arts Camp for Screenwriting, and I have to say it was an absolutely amazing experience! I was able to learn a lot from my great teacher, Laurel Minter; from formatting to structure to theme. I also made great new friends there, people who were accepting about my passions and who had similar interests to mine. I learned a lot from my teachers and mentors, and I hope that I have everlasting friendships with the other students there. This camp allowed me to remember why I love screenwriting so much and it's helped me realize that, although it's hard, it's definitely worth the effort. I was able to create the script for a seven minute short film in four or three days! It was also great chance for me to experience life on a college campus and learn a lot about USC. It's sparked my interest in the possibility of attending this college in the future. I owe all of this to Wishbone and to my donors. Thank you all very much. You have no idea how grateful I am to all of you for allowing this wonderful experience to become a reality for me. I hope that the things I have learned in this camp will allow to achieve more things in the future with the people I have met. I couldn't have done it without you.

Now that I have been fully funded for my summer camp, thanks to all my donors, I will be preparing to go to my camp in the summer. My parents will provide transportation for me, since they will take me to the campus and they will also pick me up. I will most likely take my own laptop or iPad, since the camp's website encourages us to take our own laptops and hand-held recorders. I think now it's just time to wait for more instructions from the camp and for the time to come to be able to participate in this summer activity. I am so excited for my summer!
