My passion is Basketball.
I discovered my passion of basketball, when I first played basketball in elementary school. I fell in love with it and I felt it was a good sport to play. One day in elementary school, I saw a basketball but never knew what it was used for, so i decided to try it for the first time. Once I tried it, I really liked it and decided to keep playing which made me more passionate for basketball and made me want to keep playing even more.
The Nike Basketball Camp-Overnight will help me explore my passion, because it would help me become a better player and have a better understanding for the sport I love and have a passion for. Also, this program will help me explore my passion, because it would be a opportunity to expand my knowledge on basketball, it would introduce me to a better environment and it would allow me to create a better relationship with people that share the same passion as me.
Stewart Harvey is a student who approaches every challenge with good spirit and a "can do" attitude. He attacks his academic classes with this spirit, taking advantage of all opportunities that he can during school hours. After school however, when school sports teams play, he is usually required to pick up his younger siblings. He has been unable to pursue his passion for basketball other than in weekend gatherings and casual games with friends.
Nike Basketball Camp will provide Stewart the amazing opportunity to pursue a dream, build his skills and knowledge around basketball and build his self confidence. I also believe it will give him a more positive outlook which will help him attack his daily challenges with even more gusto and grit.
I'm grateful for the donors that made me able to attend the camp I wanted to go to. Without the donors I wouldn't be able to attend the Nike Basketball Camp-Overnight. Therefore, I'm very grateful and thankful for them. I'm very happy to have this opportunity.
