My passion is Medicine.
My dad is a doctor, and one of my favorite memories is going to the hospital, even when I wasn't sick. I don't recall much since I was so young but I do I recall memories of my dad's job and the hospital environment. Seeing how highly respected and how important my dad was to the community blossomed my passion for medicine. Another thing that helped my passion grow was television, I've always watched shows like Untold Stories of the E.R and House. I love that everything isn't just simple, clean, and predictable, but that everyone and their situations are different and unique. Medical practice is not mundane and simple and that's what draws me to it.
Attending Yale Global Scholars will help me explore my passion because the program has a section focused on Science and Medicine that can help me focus on where I can go with my hopes and aspirations. Joining this program can also allow me to meet different people and broaden my horizons on different things in life and different passions and dreams. I can meet people in the career that I aspire to be in and also meet teens that are just as driven for the same passion as I have. Getting a glimpse of the college life can keep me motivated as well as engaged in my future as well as my present.
Delice is an extremely bright and driven student and is an excellent candidate for Yale Young Global Scholars. She sets high standards for herself and is continuously working to exceed them. What impresses me the most about Delice is her ability to work with and help others. She is a true leader in and out of the classroom and it is very clear how much her peers value her support. Delice will benefit tremendously from participating in Yale Young Global Scholars. She is such a talented student who is always eager to learn. She will thrive in an environment where she surrounded by people her share her value of education.
I would like to thank you for your donation once again. This donation has meant more than I could have imagined. With your help, I was able to experience the best two weeks ever. I made new friends from all around the world. I met people from countries I didn't even know existed. I don't come from the easiest place to live, but being around people who are goal oriented and well educated was just an amazing experience. This program and experience made me even more ready for college. Even though my time for college isn't here yet, now, I will go home and do what I have to do to be able to experience something as beautiful as Yale's Young Global Scholars once again. Instead of 2 weeks, it'll be 4 years. Thank you for your donation once again. It is well appreciated and has made me extremely happy.
