Valeria's Story

My passion is protecting people.

I've always wanted to be involved in things that help keep people safe. For example, I used to say that I wanted to be a firefighter, cop, spy, soldier, but I now want to be either an FBI agent or a lawyer. When I was little, I would watch the cartoon The Power Rangers. When I would watch this show, I would start imitating the characters. That made me realize I had a passion for helping and keeping people safe.

Attending Honor Code U.S. Military Academy Camp will help me develop my passion by developing the traits that we all need: respect, responsibility, and commitment. I know that attending this camp will help me get the training experience similar to what a soldier gets, putting me a step closer to developing my passion.

Honor Code! U.S. Military Academy complete

First of all thank you to all the Wishbone team for all the help and support. If it wasn't for Wishbone I wouldn't have gone to this incredible summer program. I would also like to thank everyone who supported me throughout the whole process, all the support I received was very helpful. Everyone's support encouraged me to go to this program and find out new things about my persona.

This Honor Code U.S. Military Academy made my summer one of the best I have ever had. It was such a great experience: meeting new people, doing new things, experiencing a cadet's life, getting an idea of the application process for the military academies, getting an idea of who I want to be as a person and what I want to do. We did every kind of activity and events, from going paint balling to going to class.
This summer program helped me find my true self; it helped me know who I am as a person. I now have an idea of what I want to do for myself but also for this country. I want to be in the army, and after serving for a couple of years I want to make my dream of becoming an FBI Agent come true . I loved it! It was such an amazing experience! Excited to attend Honor Code! Military Camp Academy

I am so excited that I will be attending Honor Code! U.S. Military Academy Camp this summer. I am looking forward on this great opportunity in a few weeks. But before I leave, I want to thank everyone who has helped me during this process because without you all I don’t think I would be going to this new amazing experience. I ended up choosing Honor Code! U.S. Military Academy Camp because I want to be an FBI Agent. I know that having this experience will put me a step closer to completing my dream.

I am kind of nervous about traveling to New York alone because it is my first time traveling out of state by myself, and only my second time traveling at all. I am looking forward this great experience, I want to meet new people who are interested in similar things as me. Thank you for Wishbone and everyone who has contributed with such great help! If it weren’t for Wishbone I wouldn’t be traveling to New York in less than a month.
