Cuauhtemoc's Story

My passion is learning about how something works together in harmony.

My passion for learning about how something works in perfect harmony started when I was five years old. I was with my grandpa outside in our backyard carefully tending to bright red tomatoes. I still vividly remember him taking out a homemade machine he used to water the soil. It was a regular plastic box with spigots sticking out of it in varying sizes. He started it up with a pump and I watched in awe as it sprayed water out in brilliant streams. This simple contraption is what spurred me into breaking a clock and toaster in half much to my parents dismay; though, it made my grandpa grin. This simple gesture of pride from my grandpa gave me the confidence to continue exploring and analyzing every little thing.

Attending this program would help quench my thirst for learning how everything works in harmony to complete a certain task. This program would be great for me because I've always been into electronics a machines. My dad is an architect and my uncle works with machines so I was brought up in an environment where creativity is the most important advantage in life, and applying that creativity is what separates you from everybody else. Due to this creative atmosphere I have become very interested with robotics, drawing in 3-D, and pretty much anything to do with technology. Which makes your program the ideal choice for me.

A Note from Ms. Peterson, Cuauhtemoc's Teacher

Cuahtemoc has blossomed in his capacity to connect with his peers and share his ideas, both in academic and social situations. He excels when working both independently and collaboratively, and his calm yet decisive communication style allows for those around him to fully participate while benefiting from his knowledge. Cuahtemoc is an excellent candidate for the program because he has a keen interest in understanding how things work, coupled with boundless curiosity and an intrinsic drive to excel at whatever he does. Because he is gifted in the arts and literature as well as math and science, he will need experiential learning opportunities to narrow his career and collegiate focus.
