My passion is design. I believe that attending FIT High School Summer Workshops would help me gain the necessary knowledge to build a career from my passion. What I want to take away from this experience is learning and experiencing different ways to express my my passion, and take it further than what I am already used to. This can help me find a purpose in what I would like to pursue in life, I have always questioned what is my role and significance to life is and I hope to find out soon and if it is design, then I can feel better knowing I mean something. Not only can this be an activity it can probably lead me on the right path to my future.
The FIT High School Summer Workshops will give Joelis the time and space to engage in design without having to worry about the things that have restrained her in the past. Not only will Joelis get the opportunity to focus on design, but this will also give Joelis a way to express herself outside of the classroom; our school has a limited Arts program, and Joelis is the type of student who would benefit from having more non-academic options to express herself and find where her strengths lie.
Because I love her and know that she will do the best that she can to become the person she wants to become
