My passion is becoming a pediatrician.
My passion was discovered from childhood experiences. Growing up in a daycare, I had a passion for infants, toddlers and 5-year-old children. They were always taken care of, cured when they had a fever, or changed when their diaper was wet. I also wanted to be a doctor because I liked my doctor, Dr. John. He was a fun doctor that made sure you came happy and left happy even after being given a shot. So then I realized that being a pediatrician was a exciting suit for my future.
Attending the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine will help me further my passion towards medicine because I will be able to gain insight on what my career would look like. For example, there are hands-on simulations to test how fast I will act to an emergency situation in my career, and I will learn how to diagnose or cure a patient. My passion will be further developed because I am excited to learn about medicine and being excited about this program will make me advanced on what is to come in the future.
I have known Amanda for over five years and I have never seen her turn down an opportunity experience something new. She wants to be a pediatrician. As a result, she takes the most advanced math and science classes to ensure that she is ready for the exams and classes she will need to take in college. Amanda will benefit from participating in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine because her true passion is helping people. She wants to become a pediatrician and has loved science from a very early age. The hands-on experiences is what Amanda will excel at best. Labs and experiments are a true passion of hers and she thrives in any environment where she can work in groups. She is respected by her peers and seen as a leader. I think the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine will further enhance these skills and give her even more confidence as she pursues college in the near future.
My summer at Envision National Leadership Forum on Medicine was a life time experience because it was an eye opener for me and my future. Envision has allowed me to see what is needed to be a successful doctor that I want to be. It also allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people and it was a lot of fun.
Thanks to Wishbone and Donors for allowing me to live this experience.
Thank you so much for donating. I'm closer than ever of achieving my dream career of being a doctor by going to NYLF for Medicine. In the area I live, there really aren't many opportunities to do hands on things to benefit my future, so this program will help a lot.
