My passion is engineering.
I was into technology as a kid and curious to know more things that I used, such as my GameCube, my dad's phone, and the TV. Now, I'm still curious to know how machines work and have thought a lot about how to study this in the future. In school, I took a class called MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science and Achievement) which first introduced me to a whole new level of math, science, and engineering. I was able to create projects and use trial and error to improve my projects. Then, they were put to the test when I went to a competition to compete against other schools. I won a silver medal and a bronze medal for each project that I did. This achievement made me realize that engineering is a field I am passionate about and something that can be very helpful for me in the future.
At iD Tech Camp, I will be able to develop my passion because this program is all about technology and science. The classes will be challenging and allow me to experience the high expectations of a college class. I will also be able to connect with other students and to meet new friends from different parts of the U.S.
"Walter is very interested in math, science, and technology. He is a member of the Robotics Club as well as the Coding Club on campus. He is enrolled in AP Chemistry as well as Pre-Calculus as an 11th grader - both classes that are mostly filled by 12th grade students at our school. He is excited by these challenges and lights up when we discuss anything related to science or engineering. He would benefit immensely from iD Tech Camp by being exposed to new classes, hands on experiences, and studying on a college campus."
The iD Tech at UC Berkeley has opened a brand new experience in which I got to do hands on work and that was something that I really enjoyed. Not only has this been something I liked, but I also learned a lot of content in terms of computer programming and trying new things with the Arduino system. I used my creativity to be able to create sound and rhythm using the Arduino software on the computer. I also got a chance to know how to manage the speed and the brightness on an LED light, which was something new I was able to learn. I got to meet people from different places from the Bay Area to people who came from Sacramento, and I was able to discover a lot of the interests they had. Overall, I was able to enjoy this program because it focused on computers and wiring, which was a really great opportunity to have. I just want to thank the people who donated, and I am really grateful that I got a chance to have an amazing experience.
I'm going to be attending iD tech at UC Berkeley, and it's a program in which they teach students the skills of computer programming. This program helps students who are new at this skill and want to be able to be able to explore it. I chose this program because I want to be able to get more experience in computer programming. Not only will I get experience with this, but I'll also learn how computers work using a certain type of software and be able to understand the language that is being used. With this program, I will be able to challenge myself and learn a lot of new things throughout the program. I can also have a college experience and meet new people. Thank you for your support, I really appreciate this opportunity.
Keep it up primo , im proud of you , you can do it, God bless you primo
