My passion is sports.
I am passionate about sports because I believe every teenager should be healthy and explore something that might interest them. Personally, I love volleyball because it relaxes me in a way where I forget all my problems and focus on what I am doing in the game. I love the feeling of being satisfied with myself after a game.
By being able to attend the Nike Volleyball Camp, I would be able to explore my passion by doing what I love to do. I would be given the opportunity of a life time. I would make new friendships that could maybe last for a life time. Also the program will help me by understanding the type commitment that is needed to be a good athlete.
"I am confident Melissa will be well liked and respected by everyone at the Nike camp. She is a great group player, and does well in social groups (which is important in volleyball) and any team sport. She also is an excellent leader. Last summer, as a rising tenth grader, she helped lead a group of incoming 9th graders. I heard her lead the group on several occasions, and her voice and confidence made a big impression on me."
