My passion is science.
I love science! My day could be going so bad, but when I know I have science class coming next I am always engaged, ready to learn something new. It gives me a sort of rush, a sort of energy. It has all the answers to why we live on this earth today, information of the body, how the body is infected, and so much more. Initially, I started with SPREP at Columbia University, taking college level science classes that were extremely challenging. I loved the challenges, and it did not stop me from asking questions to further my experience or from being deeply engaged into the learning. Science just satisfies my curiosity.
I want to take science classes at a college level so I would be more prepared for college in the couple of years that I have in high school. I feel it is really important to make a connection with new and different people because I would learn to become more socializing and be able to talk to anyone and everyone. In this world that I live in today, it is about who you know and how they can help you rather than what you know because if you make a good impression and crowd with successful people you yourself will become successful in life.
Shaniqua wants to study and pursue a career in medicine. No matter her passion right now, she will need top notch undergraduate and graduate programming to ensure her success. The Duke University Summer Academy will serve as Shaniqua's first real introduction to a top tier research institution, with faculty and peers from all over the world and experts in all different fields. This exposure will permit Shaniqua to immerse herself for three weeks in the "life of a college student" at an elite institution, not unlike the kind she seeks to fulfill her pre-medical requirements.
You are very dear to me and am very proud of you, please continue to excel. God's richest blessings.
