My summer at FIT was filled with excitement and fun. It was wonderful going to the heart of America, NYC, every day. Taking summer classes at FIT opened up my eyes to the fashion world. I was able to see the mechanics and a lot of the work like marketing and photo styling that goes into these huge fashion brands and magazines. I was around people who were interested in going to college for fashion and later having careers in fashion, and I was able to learn from them. I also became a little more outgoing and put myself out there to talk to new people. Thank you to everyone who made this opportunity possible.

This summer, I will be going to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and learning about clothes, fashion, and styling. I will be taking Styling, Fashion, Food, and Fashion in-store merchandising classes at FIT. I decided to go to FIT this summer so that I can expand my knowledge about the world of fashion since fashion is one of my passions and it also is deeply connected to my other passions. I have always been curious and intrigued about fashion trends, like how they first get started, what makes people become intrigued with them, and how they spread so quickly. I am excited to be in one of the fashion capitals of the world, New York, as this will help me to immerse myself even more in my studies about fashion. It is the best place to explore and learn about fashion. I hope to gain more insight about how fashion affects our world, the different type of styles out there, and even how fashion affects things like our food packaging. I cannot wait to incorporate my new knowledge into my everyday life and my style. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.
