Deiondre's Story

I discovered my passion for nursing when I was younger. I always watched a television show called “The Untold Stories of the E.R.”. Ever since then, I always thought working in a hospital is the most interesting and challenging job. I also have a passion for nursing because my grandmother is a cardiologist and my mother is a medical assistant. Seeing my mother and grandmother work in the medical field motivates me to go to medical school, find a position to master, and proceed in my career in medicine.

Attending Envision NYLF Medicine will help me pursue my passion for nursing by showing me the ropes of participating in the medical field. This will help me experience hands on tasks that a nurse uses on a daily basis. Also, this will give me more knowledge on what to expect in the future when I pursue my career. Since working in the medical field is a part of my family, I want to continue the legacy and make my mother proud.

Deiondre is a great candidate for Envision NYLF Medicine. A program such as Envision NYLF Medicine would allow him to gain experience in the medical field, as well as developing his leadership skills. I love seeing the maturity in my students grow, so I am super excited to see Deiondre in the Fall of next school year after he attends this program. He is going to benefit from the exposure to leadership, other students from other places and the curriculum offered.

New Chapter

I cannot wait to attend my summer program in Boston. I'm ready to experience something more than my regular city. I'm ready to meet and interact with other kids from all over the country. I am very excited yet a little nervous, but I am sure that this program is worth every minute of my time. I can't wait to be there!
