I discovered my passion for drawing from watching shows that had different art styles and reading comic books that were illustrated with so much detail and beauty. As I grew up, picture books were no longer an option so I had to use my imagination to create characters to make things interesting. I even hope to eventually make my own stories or comic books and illustrate them just as the comic books and cartoons I have seen growing up have. I was also intrigued by the designs of clothes and making them as I developed my love for drawing art and I wanted to develop a skill for bringing the designs of my drawings to life.
FIT is meant for fashion and fashion involves first drawing out your outfit or design which I would like to practice doing so then in the future I am a better artist and may potentially gain the skill of making my own clothes based off of my characters that I draw. FIT could also help see new styles that I most likely haven't seen before or learn new techniques that I could learn from others in its large community.
Alfred goes to a school where there is virtually no access to artistic training, so being able to participate in a formal program where he can get guidance from professional teachers will be invaluable. He has also kept an open mind about it, knowing that FIT has an array of offerings, and he is willing to put himself out of his comfort zone.
