Corrine's Story

My passion is cooking and baking.

I discovered my passion when I would watch my family cook together in the kitchen as if it were a dance. Everyone was graceful and looked like they had practice these dishes a million times together, getting around the kitchen with ease. The food was always delicious and I hoped that one day I'd also be able to make delicious for my family. Although being a chef isn't my first job choice for when I grow up, I do think it can be a possibility once I learn how to.

Cooking has always been very interesting to me, and I've always thought that the art of it was extremely beautiful. However, I cannot cook but rather bake and so I'm hoping this class will help me achieve a dream that I've always wished would come true. Being able to cook would help me escape my everyday fast food eating habits that my parents have gotten me into and refuse to get me out that I deeply desire to vanish. Learning to cook will also help me survive college later on in life without having to sustain myself on delivery and cup noodle.
