My passion is math and science.
To be honest, math and science never became a passion because it has always been a passion. Science and math have brought light into the darkness of my world.
Attending Brown Environmental Leadership Lab (BELL) this summer would be a step towards developing my passion. Here, I will learn leadership skills through a number of workshops, team-building experiences, and the development of an action plan. Learning at BELL will be an experiential and challenging experience where I will get to investigate how human demands on the environment threaten the very ecosystems that keep us alive.
"Claribel is one of the top performing students in the entire ninth grade. She consistently earns a place on High Honor Roll and has been elected as Student of the Week. Claribel has such immense academic potential that she not only needs, but deserves, the exposure to high level critical thinking and academic activity that the Brown University Environmental Leadership Lab would provide her.
Claribel’s participation in the Brown University program would be a catalyst for Claribel, transforming her from a high-achieving student with an impressive work ethic to a student who has experienced a level of rigor that only Brown University could provide her with. After successfully completing this program, Claribel will come back to her tenth grade year ready to succeed, ready to be a leader among her peers, and ready to apply and be accepted to a highly prestigious university."
I just wanted to say, once again,thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend this summer program at Brown University! I really appreciate how generous and supporting you are. My main goal is to attend Brown University, in the future, as a college student and this program will be a head start in reaching that goal -- this is just the start! I am really looking forward to attending this summer program at Brown University.
