Sara's Story

My passion is soccer. I started playing soccer at the age of 3. At such a young age, it's hard to know whether you love something or not. As I got older and continued playing, I continued to love it so much. When I got to high school, I made the varsity soccer team. When winter came along, I realized I wanted to continue playing. As a result, I played indoor soccer and travel soccer in the spring. My love for soccer continued to grow because the sport taught me a lot about life off the field as well. I learned lessons about perseverance, friendship, and leadership through playing soccer. These are all qualities that always kept me playing this sport. Soccer also helps me get through my emotions. When I'm angry or sad, I can express those feelings through soccer. It's almost like a best friend that never goes away.

Attending US Sports Nike Soccer Camp will not only help me improve, but it will also allow me to help my team by being a better leader and player. The more I know and the better I get, makes me want to keep playing and makes me want to have a future playing soccer. I want to keep loving and playing this sport for as long as I can.
