Ellijah's Story

My passion is law.

I discovered my passion for law at a very early age. I have had long conversations with my family, especially my grandfather, about the history of our legal system. These usually turn into healthy debates, but at the end of each conversation I realize how much there is to learn and know about the legal system. I also see how much of a difference I could make if I enter the field.

Blueprint Summer at UConn would help me pursue my passion for law because I will have the chance to learn on my top choice campus from some of the greatest minds working in law. The entire experience will better prepare me for my future, and I will take everything I learn with me after I leave high school.

A Note from Ms. Wright, Ellijah's Teacher

I have not doubt that by attending the Blueprint Summer at Uconn will only solidify Ellijah's desire to attend college and law school. He will personally benefit from seeing the world beyond Bridgeport and by experiencing a college atmosphere to expand his world view. Ellijah's is motivated to move beyond his secondary education. This program will better prepare him for his future, and for the steps he will need to take to succeed.

Post-Attendance Update

I had a GREAT time attending the University of Connecticut. I am so grateful to all the doners that funded my experience. It was great to get out of the inner city for a week and receive a beneficial and eye opening experience. Since UConn is the university I want to attend, made the experience so much sweeter. I am thankful for u guys all individually.
