My passion is Operating Aviation Machinery.
I discovered my passion for aviation when I was a little boy. I remember walking home from elementary school, I would constantly stare up into the sky hoping for an airplane to be flying by. I find it mind blowing that today's technology has allowed us to make heaving metal weighing tons, into transportation across the world. Also, ever since the tragic death by airplane of someone very special to me, I felt an interest in the way airplanes work. We heard of the cause of the crash, and that inspires me to learn how airplanes work.
Attending California Airways AeroCamp will help me explore my passion by offering me an insight of the world of flying. This camp will walk me through the fundamental steps needed in order to be successful while flying an aircraft. It will also keep me out of trouble during this summer and will not only help me become a more knowledgable high school student, but it might also help me live my dream to fly an airplane for the first time in my life. This camp has so much to offer to teenagers like me who want to try something different.
Adrian Munguia is currently striving to become the first in his family to pursue higher education and, ultimately, to contribute to his family what he is able to at the conclusion of his education. Adrian's current living situation in East Oakland combined with his financial situation makes success and the pursuit of higher education extremely challenging for Adrian. Despite these circumstances, Adrian is definitely ready for the challenges and demands of college as demonstrated by his hard work and commitment to his education.
As his former biology teacher and current mentor, I can attest to his interest and passion for science. Adrian was always hardworking and dedicated to his studies for all of his classes. Adrian stood out as a scholar during first semester biology due to his work ethic.
During my time in California Airways Aerocamp, I discovered an amazing passion for the unknown. I was originally planning on taking a Biotechnology course at UC Berkeley, but unfortunately it reached full capacity. I was a bit disappointed because I was really looking forward to learning more about my passion for science. My counselor told me to choose a program that I would of never thought of taking. I chose Aerocamp because I am terrified of heights, but after participating in this course, thanks to you all, I learned that in order for me to find my true passion, I must explore the unknown. I met amazing people. The manager, Susie is the sweetest lady that I have ever met! She is so charismatic and insightful. Keith, my instructor is such an awesome man. He makes learning so much fun. Everyone at the camp was always willing to stop what they were doing to tend to my needs and answer any question I had.
Once again, thank you to all of you for helping me pursue my road to discovering my passion for the unknown.
Now that my campaign is fully founded, I can't wait for August 1 to arrive. I can't contain my excitement to finally attend an aviation camp! I'm most excited about meeting a pilot and having the opportunity to ask them questions about their career. Once again, thank you to everyone who donated to my campaign and helped me accomplish my dream of attending an aviation camp!
