A Note from Ms. Almonte, Randy's Teacher

Randy Pimentel is a student who is hard-working, determined, and sweet. There was never a class period where Randy’s opinions or thoughts were not shared. Often times, students fall behind because they may be too timid or afraid to ask questions, however this was never the case for Randy. He was never the one to shy away from questions instead he was the who would continue to ask questions until he was correctly grasping the material being taught. Randy never accepts failure as an option and continues to work hard until his goals are met.

Having the opportunity to attend US Sports Nike Basketball Camp will allow Randy to explore a different side of him. Randy is very focused on school and is always attending tutoring sessions in order to ensure his grades remain high. I would love to see Randy be given the opportunity to explore a sport he is passionate about. The US Sports Nike Basketball Camp will allow Randy to share a passion that his older brother has, which will be a great experience for him.
