Kaelyn's Story

My passion is acting.

I grew up watching all different genres of movies and all types of shows. There was a particular movie called The Breakfast Club that came on TV. Everyone was the main character to me but the person who really stood out to me was Claire (Molly Ringwald), and I remember just thinking to myself "Wow, I want to do what she's doing: acting", and that's when other thoughts came into my head such as "How do I go about this?", "What do I need to have in order to do this" I just kept doing research on the art, and I began to become not obsessed but fascinated with it.

I believe that YPI Summer Arts Camp will definitely help me pursue my passion because I feel as if it covers everything. Filmmaking/Theater, which I'm very much interested in. I feel as if it would really enlighten me more on acting and filmmaking and give me a shot to do something that makes me happy and excited. I know that I want to act in the future somehow or take it up as a profession, and this will definitely be the first step for me!
