My passion is law.
When I was a little girl. I always wanted to help injured people and people who couldn't take care of themselves. My mom worked as a CNA, and I found it amazing that she wasn't a RN but could still help take care of people in need of medical attention/help. I started to look into the medical field online and I thought to myself, "Wow this is great! I want to be like them in the future." As I grew older and gained more knowledge I played "doctor " at home and pretended to be a nurse and doctor with my dolls and sometimes people. I practiced on my family members even though they weren't ill. I still felt like i was able to help them feel better physically and emotionally. Ever since then I loved learning more and more about being a Nurse and helping others feel better.
Nicole is incredibly diligent in advocating for herself. If she doesn't understand something, she will ask. If she wants to find out more about a particular topic, she will research or inquire.
In regards to her passion, Nicole has researched nursing online as well as talked with others about this career path. She also takes the class "Medical Careers 1" which prepares her for such a future career. She is currently maintaining an A in that class and plans on taking Medical Careers 2 next year.
I have witnessed Nicole's passion for helping people in my class, as she is always willing to help other students with assignments or other issues they may be having. She genuinely cares about others and is always willing to offer assistance to those who are in need.
I am extremely amazed at how great the program was and how it helped me. Words couldn't describe how excited I was going and coming home because of the amazing experience. If I could I'd go again and again and again !!!
It's given me such a great perspective of how college really is and I couldn't be anymore grateful. I had so much fun learning and meeting new people
This summer I will be attending the UCONN program of Medical Chemistry & Drug Discovery. I am really excited to be a part of this program because it will give me college experience and also help me decide if this is the right path I want to push for in my future. As a teenager I am not often given the opportunities like these. I think that this program will help me learn more about medicine and this will help me develop my plans for college.
I can't wait to meet new people that are my age and share our ideas and learn from each other. This program interests me because I have always found the medical field interesting since I was younger. I believe that participating in this program will help me decide on whether or not I want to major in the medical field in college and I am excited to see what this program will offer me academically, socially, and personally.
