My passion is art.
Attending YPI Summer Arts Camp would be a meaningful opportunity to me. Laughter and the arts are the best medicines for all individuals. I play the violin and am a member of the Screen Actors Guild and truly enjoy using my talents to benefit others and to help bring their moods to a positive place.
I volunteer in a nursing home and am aware that therapies such as music, arts, and pet therapy often bring more smiles than any vile of medicine can. Learning artsy, creative ways to benefit patients are what I ultimately plan to do in my future. My passion lies in math, science, music, photography, as well as theater. Being a well-rounded person will help me in growth. My growth will then extend to making others smile and to me that is of up most importance.
Kendelle demonstrates a talent in theatre arts and also displays an inherent sense for the art. While other students seem tentative in class, Kendelle was observant and unafraid to take risks in portraying a character. As a young adolescent this skill is invaluable onstage. Through study and observation, she brings truth to the characters she portrays. I know that Kendelle uses this same process when approaching her academics. She is very strong in the areas of math and science; and I am confidant that she approaches these subjects with care and a new way to look at a solution.
I am thankful to be participating in the Arts program at camp this summer. I feel this will help me grow and learn so I can share my talents and knowledge with others.This program will put me in contact with fun, creative students and mentors.
I am looking forward to staying there over night so I can fully concentrate on the arts without distractions. Although I do attend a wonderful Performing Arts School, going to this camp for a week will be a beneficial, new experience for me. I wish to continue my dreams and broaden my goals.Learn, love and laugh! This is truly a blessing to me!
