My passion is helping people.
When I was little, I got pushed and fell on to a motorcycle's brake. I was then rushed to the hospital and was treated by the doctors, who saved my life. I was so inspired by them that I wanted to become a doctor when I grow up. As I've grow more mature, I've met many people who cannot see. I started to do research, and I discovered that it is possible to help these people through surgery. When I grow up, I want to treat patients by giving them eyesight.
The National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine is a program that helps students who want to go into the medical field. This will give me a taste of what it would be like to be a student in the medical field. Additionally, this program would help me develop confidence in my passion and see if a future in medicine is really right for me.
"Thai would be a wonderful candidate for Wishbone and the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. His perseverance through extreme setbacks, his drive to always perform his best, and his ability to be self-starting and self-directed are all qualities that will ensure his success at this program. I believe that attending will help Thai have a concrete vision for his future."
Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to attend NYLF: Medicine. The program was truly unforgettable. Throughout the program, I was able to learn more about leadership and medicine. We went to different hospitals and experience of what is like to work at one. In my opinion, I truly am motivated to pursue in the field of medicine in my future and it's all because of this program. However, It wouldn't be possible with you all, the donors.
Thank You,
Thai

Throughout my years in high school, I have not figured out what I want to be when I grow up. I have thought I wanted to be a mechanical engineer, but for some reason, I am not really passionate about the career. However, I figured out that I am passionate about helping and caring for others, which is why I believe that becoming a doctor is my true, fated career. Hopefully, the program, NYLF: Medicine, would help reassure me about my choices. Thanks for your donation!
