My passion is abstract art.
When I was about 7 years old, my mother suffered an accident during work that left her with severe back pains. I was scared of her developing stress or depression, so I decided to keep her entertained by coloring. As my mom slowly recovered, we both tried out different types of art such as painting and drawing.
As I grew older, I began to get ideas and feel emotions that I couldn't express verbally. That's when I discovered that abstract art was something that I was passionate about. I can illustrate my feelings on paper and have one interpret the art the way they want. As long as I pour out my feelings through my creations, I am happy.
Attending Academy of Art will allow me to discover other types of art that I could be interested in. I'm extremely open about trying out new things, so I could get an idea of who I want to be when I grow up. In order to have a sense of what career I would like to study during college, I need to explore. I believe that Academy of Art can help me find my true passion in life.
"Josselynne is an outstanding young woman, she has worked hard to be a great student and an inspiration to her fellow classmates. She has faced many struggles at home and yet she perseveres and continues on her path the be the first college bound student in her family."
I'm really excited to be able to get to experience the courses offered at the Academy of Art Pre-College Art Experience. I will be able to spend my summer learning and enjoying the techniques incorporated in figure drawing. Learning the basics will allow me to create realistic drawings. Having the ability to draw realistically has been one of my goals since I was 10. However, I feel anxious for the comic book illustration course because I have never tried that type of art form. I actually do not read comic books, but I felt intrigued to learn about the techniques used.
Furthermore, the art classes will help me relax and have a productive summer. The classes will teach me new things and help me prepare for my junior year by keeping my work ethic steady with the assignments provided. Though the courses will challenge my skills and creativity, I believe that it will help me improve my overall knowledge of art.
follow your dreams & never let anything nor anyone stop you . I believe in you .
