Dashiel's Story

My passion is medicine.

My mother has studied in the field of medicine and nursing, and has inspired me to follow in her footsteps. I have always viewed the study of medicine as a study of what makes the human body work, fight off diseases, and grow immunity. The study of medicine has the ability to educate a person in what helps others, and what saves lives. This is what has lead me to discover my passion for medicine.

Attending Centenary Summer Scholars will help me pursue my passion for medicine, by providing me the resources needed to understand and grasp what my studies will consist of. This program will give me a sense of what it would take to study medicine and the types of classes I would have in a college setting. I am very excited to pursue this program.

A summer of education, fun, and new experiences!

I am forever thankful for wishbone allowing me to have this platform to raise the money needed to attend this program. Everyone that donated, thank you so much for allowing me to attend such an amazing program where I was able to explore psychology head on in an environment that I wanted to be a part of. I am certain that this is a field of study that I want to pursue and will do so. Thank you to everyone!

Making strides in my journey to study psychology!

Thanks to all of your tremendous contributions, and overwhelming support, I am eager to say that I will be attending Centenary Summer Scholars over the summer. I will be attending the, 'Introduction to Psychology' course. I will have my mind opened to new ideologies and information that would not have been possible otherwise without your support. Thank you so much!
