My passion is basketball.
I discovered my passion for basketball when I was 5. I was watching a basketball game with my brother and basketball caught my attention. After that I felt like I had to try to play it. Once I started playing basketball I fell in love with it. I was always wanting to go to the park and play basketball. Anything that was basketball related I loved. From High School Games, College Games, and the NBA. Basketball really kept me occupied and kept me out of trouble which made me want to play it all day everyday.
Our school is fairly new, so it's still in the growing stages. Because of this, we offer very little extracurricular activities that are related to sports. There is a basketball team, but the league is small where students only play against the two other high schools in Brooklyn within our network. Even though the games are limited, Jason is on the team where he regularly attends practice to further develop his skills on the court. I've seen him play and he really does have potential.
I am going to be participating in the U.S Nike Basketball Camps this summer. I am really excited to be joining the program because it will give me the time to learn more about the sport. I think that this program will help me develop my basketball skills and keep my mind focused on my future goals.
I am looking forward to training with other people my age and learning from them. I chose this program because I have loved basketball ever since I was a baby, and I constantly think about how I'm going to get better in order for me to make it far with basketball. I believe that participating in this program will help me finalize my real goal in life.
