My passion for veterinary science developed around age seven. I lived in a house with four cats, a dog, and a hamster. I played vet with my cats as I brushed their fur and helped cut their nails. Aside from caring for our pets, I remember them getting sick and passing away. My curiosity about what happened to these animals I loved sparked my passion for veterinary science. I hope to better understand animals on a scientific level in order to aid and heal animals in need.
Harvard Pre-College Program would help me to pursue my passion for Veterinary Science by preparing me for college level classes and on-campus living. I am specifically interested in their Neurology of Behavior course because it studies the behaviors of animals in nature. I have previous experience with veterinary science from when I volunteered at a veterinary clinic. During my experience, I was able to closely shadow the doctor when he performed surgery on animals. I believe Harvard pre-college program would be the best next step for me to pursue my passion.
Mia is an intelligent young lady with excellent work ethic. She has excelled in all her classes including AP Biology. She is dependable and always well-prepared. I can always count on Mia to ask thoughtful questions or be engaged in class discussion. She has shown a great interest in Biology and is eager to increase her knowledge of the subject matter. She plans to pursue a degree in the biological sciences in college, and Harvard Pre-College Program will provide her the opportunity to build a strong foundation for the future.
I look forward to attending Harvard Pre-College Program and really appreciate all of the support and donations that were given to me. I actually can't wait to attend and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about the program. It's such an amazing opportunity, I am still partly in disbelief. I literally would not be able to go if it weren't for the generous donations I received from you all. As of now, I continue to focus on my school work and plan for the program I will be attending over the summer.
