My passion is football.
When I was a little kid, the first game I ever watched was the 2004 Super Bowl. I told my dad that I want to do that some day. My dad ended up signing me up for a flag football league, and I turned out to be pretty good at it. However, when I turned 8, I was afraid to be hit. I doubted myself a lot. So did members of my family. But I thought back to that super bowl game, and ever since then i told myself that I got to get over this fear of being hit and keep my eyes on the prize: A super bowl championship. Because of this, during my freshman year last year, I made my school's varsity team. Since then, I haven't looked back.
My biggest goal/dream is to be an NFL Hall of Famer. If I wasn't able to do that, I wanted my back up plan to still link around football. My Dad use to be into a lot of sports media, and I thought that this would be the 2nd best thing for me. I am pretty good with statistics and going into little details about different teams. Also, I just love talking and having fun with the game. I look at the NFL Network and ESPN all the time, and I now know that this is something I really want to do in the future.
Jordan is a promising young man with a bright future. He has limited resources but is passionate about several areas. I have seen him overcome challenges and adversity in his life and still manage to be successful in meeting athletic and academic goals. Jordan is worthy due to being a solid student/athlete. He is a young man who has always committed himself to his studies. He has a strong work ethic which is commendable and I feel will carry that level of excellence while participating in the Sports Media program.
