I wanted to update you to let you know that I will be going to college next year! I will be attending Pomona College pursuing an education in biomedical engineering.  I earned the National Achievement Scholarship and Society of Women Engineers scholarship towards furthering my education. I want to thank you again for supporting me last summer in attending the COSMOS at UC Davis.  I can't wait to continue working hard as a college student. Thank you again!

I wanted to update you to let you know that I will be attending college next year! I will be attending Pomona College. I was also a recipient of the National Achievement Scholarship and Society of Women Engineers Scholarship. I want to thank you again for supporting me in attending the COSMOS summer program. My experience at COSMOS played a huge role in influencing my career choice of becoming a biomedical engineer. I had fun and learned so much in a real college setting when I was just 15 years old. I am now happily on my way to a four-year private college. I just want to share my deepest thanks to Wishbone and all of my donors. I know that all the awesome things I have been able to do, especially as a student from a disadvantaged background, have been in large part due to the generosity and help of others. Thank you again!

COSMOS is great so far! I am loving my first week here. I've learned so much and met great people. The best part about this program is that you can look around and tell that everyone here wants to be here. Thank you SO much for making this possible! I am very thankful to you and everyone who has helped get me here.

While attending COSMOS, I hope to learn more about the biomedical sciences and gain an in-depth perspective of the field. I would like to find out if it is truly the career path I want to take. I’m looking forward most to gaining experience working in a lab, but I’m also excited to experience the life of a college student for six weeks. I love doing hands-on scientific work, but my experience in a lab is very limited. I feel this program will provide me with the opportunity I have always longed for. One goal that I’ve set for myself is to be more outgoing and make an effort to meet and befriend as many students as possible while at COSMOS.
