Briana's Story

My passion is medicine.

I do not think I ever discovered my passion for medicine, it has always been a part of me since I was young. I always loved helping others and taking care of them when they were sick. What truly brought me delight was when they were healed. They would be full of joy and thankful for all the help and support I gave them.

Since then, I have become extremely passionate about medicine to the point where I even watch TV shows to learn everything there is about medicine. All these discoveries about the human body simply amaze me and there is no doubt this is the career path I want to take.

Briana is incredibly dedicated to her school work in order to ensure that she will have various opportunities and support when applying for college. She uses her free time to study and prep for her coursework, often reminding others and inspiring them to complete their assignments. Briana is a great candidate for the UC Irvine Summer Pre-Med program because she is dedicated to her dream of working in the medical field. UC Irvine Pre-med Program

I would like to start off by saying thank you for this amazing opportunity Wishbone was able to give me. The two weeks I spent at UC Irvine were unbelievable. I was given so much insight on the medical field that has really inspired me. Even medical students are not given opportunities like us yet. Some of the hands-on activities we did included suturing, intubation, a cadavre lad, and much more. It was honestly the best experience in my life and I could not be any more grateful.

UC Irvine Pre-Med Program

I chose to apply for the UC Irvine Pre-Med Program because it really caught my attention. I had many options but UC Irvine has always been one of my dream colleges and I could not resist applying. This is an amazing opportunity for me and I simply cannot wait until I attend. I am looking forward to learning as much as possible about the medical field and hopefully gain insight into my future career. I am so grateful to my donors and could not be happier. I really appreciate all the help I received and I hope that in the future I can do the same for somebody else.
