Jeliza's Story

My passion is Forensic Science.

I discovered my passion for forensic science through shows like CSI, Criminal Minds and Bones, which use DNA and crime scene data to uncover mysteries that tell a story. I have always been interested in solving problems using scientific information and the forensic science program at Saint Rose gives me an opportunity to learn about the field. I find the science and details that are involved in forensics very interesting because it requires looking through a lens that shows things that are usually naked to the human eye. I hope to use this program to strengthen my passion.

The Criminal Justice and Forensics program will help me explore my passion because it will allow me to have a quality experience with forensics at the college level. It will inform me of the careers that are available in forensics and help me decide if is what I really want to pursue as a career. Also attending this program will give me an opportunity to meet like minded students who are interested in Forensics, learn from college professors and gain early awareness on what is necessary to be successful in college.
