As a kid I used to fly to New Mexico every summer to go visit my grandma. I remember one specific flight when I witnessed a man save an elderly woman's life on the flight. He turned out to be a doctor, and I remember thinking how much I would love to be him. To have the ability to help somebody in need. How amazing it is to have the capability to save a life. And since then it's been practically the only thing I can ever imagine myself doing with my life.
Attending UConn's Pre-College Summer Program for medicine, it could help me in a number of ways. First, it will help me get a better understanding of medicine in general in terms of both the subjects and thinking behind profession, and also a better understanding about how it would be to study in college and hopefully medical school after that. And second, it would help me with getting in to colleges for pre-med or science programs and possibly even help me while applying to medical school. From what I have read about applying for both under-grad programs and medical schools, programs will look at every little you give them.
Emma is always committed in being the best in anything she does. She is smart, well-mannered, respectful, hard-working very conscientious, unassuming and disciplined. She has the maturity and discipline required for a successful completion of a fast-paced program such as UConn Pre-College Summer Program. I honestly, believe that her participation in the program will be of immense benefit to her career-wise given her strong interest in the medical field. Emma, without any shadow of doubt, was one of the best students in her class and she is focused knows exactly what career she is interested in. It is pertinent to underscore her great capacity for independent work again, given the fact that most times, students are expected to conduct independent studies and research in college. She loved caring out lab activities and was also excellent in writing good lab reports, something many students struggle with. She is also a member of the National Honors Society (NHS). Emma is involved in many out of school activities regardless of her busy schedule as can be seen in her detailed resume.
Hi everyone!!! I’m so incredibly excited for this summer. That week is going to definitely be the highlight of my summer and probably the highlight of my year. I have always wanted to take a class on human anatomy and now I finally have the chance thanks to you. I am most excited for the dissection portion of the course because it is something I’ve always dreamed of. Thank you so much for your donations and helping me become one step closer to fulfilling my dream.
You are the best!
