David's Story

My passion is singing.

I first discovered my passion for singing when I was about 5 or 6 years old. When I was younger, I would just randomly sing to myself and my mom would tell me that I had talent. She loved to hear me sing. The feeling of love that I get from singing is a feeling that I wanted to feel forever. In 8th grade, I sang in my talent show and it was my first time actually performing in front of a big crowd. People were cheering for me and it made me realize that I had a gift that I wanted to share with the world.

I have watched as David has tried to used any means necessary to become a better artists and vocal singer. David uses Youtube on the school wifi to try to better himself. David is a young man that benefits from every positive experience that he goes through. David would benefit from seeing how things outside of Meriden are done and the possibilities that are available to him.

Pre-Attendance Update

I'm am going to be participating in the US Performing Arts Musical Theatre this summer. I am so excited about being apart of this program because I will be studying and practicing music. In school there are opportunities for me to sing and focus on music but I don't get to work on my voice and improve like I want too. I think that this program will help me better my voice, song writing skills, my breathing and etc. I am looking forward to working with other people and receiving tips and lessons on how to become better. I chose this program because I love to sing and I love music in general. I see music in my future and I hope it works out that way. I believe that this program will get me a step closer to becoming a music artist.
