Stacy's Story

My passion is cooking.

I recently discovered my passion for cooking. A few months ago my mom had surgery and couldn't cook for my family. Therefore, my sisters and I had to over the responsibility of cooking for the family. That's when I learned that my passion is cooking. I am still learning, but the Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program will be a great way to continue to learn.

A Note from Mr. Stano, Stacy's Teacher

Stacy is one of the most hardworking individuals I know at Uncommon Charter High School and she is always up for a challenge. She is also a great part of our community. I currently see Stacy one day a week for a 10th grade study hall. Many students struggle in AP World History, Chemistry, and Algebra II/Pre-Calculus. Stacy is the go to person to answer her peers questions as they arise in study hall. This makes things easier for me as I can help certain students and direct others to Stacy when necessary.

Stacy is passionate about getting into cooking and will be ready to tackle any challenges that arise. She will bring a willingness to learn and be the best at the Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program this summer. Also I know she will work well with all peers she meets.

Thank you for the opportunity

I would like to thank everyone who helped me to be able to participate in my wishbone program. This program was extremely educational. It allowed me to learn many new things about cooking that I wouldn't have been able to learn without this wishbone program. Now when I step out into the real world, I will have the cooking skills I need. I am very grateful to be given this opportunity. Thank you so much.

Thank you for the opportunity

This summer I am going to participate in a program called Sur La Table Teen Cooking. I'm an thrilled to have the opportunity to attend this program because even though I go to a school with a good education system, the school doesn't offer many extracurriculars such as cooking. I think going this program will help me expand my knowledge in cooking.

I can't wait to be able to take part in this program. I chose this program because even though I have never been a good at cooking, I am more than willing to learn. I believe that this program will allow me to develop a skill that is needed throughout life.
