My passion is law.
Law is something that not only has caught my attention but it's something I wish to one day work with. As a little girl instead of playing teacher or doctor I would loved to act as if I was an important lawyer defending celebrities and those who needed to be defended. In my junior year of high school, I was able to participate in such an amazing program: Mock Trial. The Mock Trial program allowed me to realize that my aspiration to become a lawyer might someday become reality.
The UCLA Model United Nations Summer Institute will help me discover what I want to do in the future. As a junior in high school it is time for me to think about what colleges I want to apply to and decide my career path. This program will allow me to explore my passion for law through various different experiences that I wish to have at UCLA this summer.
"Daniela is a student with a tremendous amount of potential. She is a stellar student with a sparkling personality who has made her mark on our campus. The most important thing for her now is to expand upon her experiences in order to be prepared for life beyond high school. Spending a summer at a college campus is the exact experience Daniela needs. We talk a great deal about higher education but students in South LA have very little hands on experience with the nuts and bolts of college life. In my experience, college can come as a great culture shock to students like Daniela and preparatory programs like this go a great way to ameliorating student (and parent) anxiety. I know that Daniela is mature and eager enough to maximize this experience."
